The final figure for the Bazaar which took place in December was €38,724 We would like to thank most sincerely our sponsors, all those who donated money and gifts, and all those who helped in any way towards the successful running of the Bazaar. The above photo shows some of the many people who helped make it a success at the presentation of the cheque to Fr. Tadhg Fitzgerald by Margaret Crean and Fr. Piotr Delimat on behalf of the organising committee.

The amount raised for Lourdes carers from St. John’s Parish was €3,254. Many thanks for your generosity.

New boxes of envelopes for the coming year are available for collection at the Parish Centre. If possible please bring in the top of the old box with the number on it. Contributing weekly by means of our envelope system is of great benefit to the parish and we invite interested parishioners to contact the Parish Centre to receive a box of envelopes or get further information.

Bishop Ray Browne

Good Evening. Welcome as we gather for our parish Mass. We have a special focus today as we mark the 800 Anniversary of the founding of Tralee by John FitzThomas Fitzgerald , the Prince of Desmond, in 1216. Who knows the story of the last 800 years? One thing we can say for certain is that in all those years people from Tralee have always done what we do now: Offer Sunday Mass in praise and worship of God. Let this be a Mass of thanksgiving for all that has been good in Tralee over eight centuries. Let it also be a Mass of blessing, asking God’s blessing on the community of the town of Tralee in the decades and centuries ahead.

In Eucharistic Prayer Three we pray that “this sacrifice may advance the peace and salvation of all the world”, - in this Mass we have in mind in particular the peace and salvation of the whole community of Tralee.
